Samuel Cohen Solal

Prior to co-founding Sweetwood Capital, Samuel served as a corporate/capital markets lawyer at Weil Gotshal & Manges. After a successful experience as an analyst at Rothschild, he joined Neuflize OBC-ABN Amro where he worked for 5 years as a fund manager with total assets under management of €250 million. The funds were awarded and quoted in various finance reviews. Samuel was then promoted to Head of Strategy for Asia and Commodities for Bank Neuflize OBC (€30 billion under management). He was then appointed to the board of Neuflize Chine Selection and moved to the private banking side of the Bank to manage ultra-high and high net-worth individuals’ accounts. 

 

Samuel also served on the board of Neuflize Chine Selection, the University of Chicago Alumni Board of Governors and currently is a trustee of La Fondation des Etats-Unis, a board member of Israel Free Loan Association – Ogen, a board member of Ekhal Avraham, and a mentor at IVN (Israel Venture Network). 

 

Samuel graduated with honors with a Bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Chicago, and with a Diplome Grande Ecole from HEC, he also holds a master in Business and Tax Law from Sorbonne University and a master in Law in Litigation, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolutions from Assas University in France.
